San Severino Marche

The historic convent of SS. Salvatore in Colpersito offers pilgrims the opportunity to be welcomed in a wing of the convent and to share the life of the Capuchin friars present there. The rooms are furnished with Franciscan simplicity and the bathrooms are shared.
N.B. Capuchin convents do not have employed staff and accommodate limited numbers of pilgrims (indicated in the information for each convent) to foster a personal relationship between the friars and them. We ask those who wish to be welcomed in Capuchin convents to observe the following guidelines:
– book in advance;
– bring a sleeping bag liner or sleeping bag if possible;
– observe the arrival times indicated in the information for each convent;
– the stay at the convent is for one night only.

Our fraternity offers parish groups or associations a completely self-managed guest house. The house is open to those who wish to experience spaces of silence, reflection, retreat, and formation, sharing moments of prayer and dialogue with the Poor Clare sisters. The fraternity lives on donations and does not set any fixed fee for hospitality. The house is on two floors and is surrounded by a large green space, with a small hermitage. On the ground floor, there are the kitchen, dining room, two small services, and the external laundry. On the first floor, there is a chapel, a meeting room, two services, and a single room with a bathroom. The second floor is occupied by eight rooms with bunk beds and two services with showers. In total, 25/30 beds.

The monastic complex adjacent to the Sanctuary of Madonna dei Lumi, located on the hill of Monte Nero overlooking San Severino, offers the pilgrim two six-bed rooms, two four-bed rooms, and one three-bed room, for a total of 23 beds. Almost all rooms have en-suite bathrooms and, by prior arrangement, the pilgrim can also enjoy meals prepared by the religious community of the “Missionary Sisters of Christ’s Love” present there.

The B&B San Rocco is located in one of the oldest neighborhoods of the city, just a few steps from Piazza del Popolo and its most significant places. The structure was built at the end of the 17th century and was completely renovated in 2012. It consists of 4 rooms with bathrooms, a shared kitchen, and an internal courtyard. Every morning, a varied buffet breakfast is served, including sweet and savory dishes, such as homemade cakes and local cold cuts and cheeses.

The structure is immersed in the countryside of Settempedana, very close to the Capuchin convent: a perfect compromise between rural life and the historic center, reachable with a 15-minute walk. The 50 sqm mini-apartment is equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, double room with the possibility of adding a third sofa bed.

Recently renovated with a modern and refined style, it is ideal for both travelers and pilgrims. It is located a few steps from the historic center of San Severino Marche and the train station. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and can accommodate up to 24 people.

The property is located in the main square of the town. Breakfast is available at a café 80 meters away. Upon arrival or departure from the pilgrimage route, you may request paid car transportation. The house offers the possibility of breakfast and use of the kitchen and laundry facilities. There are 2 rooms, one with 2 beds and one with 4 beds, as well as 2 bathrooms. You may arrive at any time; my residence is located next to the guest house.

The structure is located in a countryside area 2 km from the city center along the route of the next stage. The rural building has undergone conservative restoration, a typical rural example characterized by vertical structures in local stone and brick, wooden fixtures, and horizontal wooden structures. It has a very large space for tents.
