Domus Appennino, an ancient Franciscan convent where the history of the Capuchins began with the escape of Fra Matteo da Bascio in 1525, is a facility immersed in the tranquility of the Montefalcone forest at 800 meters above sea level, particularly suitable for the stay of small and large groups, up to a maximum of 110 people, self-managed, but also available to accommodate a few pilgrims in designated spaces. It has 30 bedrooms, doubles, triples, and dormitories, with private or shared services. On the ground floor, there is a well-equipped kitchen, a refectory, and large rooms. The town center, with a minimarket, bakery, and bar, is a 15-minute walk from the facility. The cost for groups of pilgrims is facilitated, and it is advisable to contact the facility well in advance. For meals: we offer a catering service upon reservation and the possibility of using the kitchen.

La Casa dello Scoiattolo is located at 900 meters above sea level, nestled in the forest of Montefalcone Appennino and overlooks the entire Adriatic coast of the Marche region. The exterior structure is made of stone. The house features two large rustic lounges, with a wood oven and TV, a fully equipped kitchen; it accommodates six/eight beds and two bathrooms with shower and services.

Welcoming recently renovated farmhouse with swimming pool located 2.5 km from the center of Montefalcone Appennino. The location, entirely for the exclusive use of guests, consists of the ground floor, 1st floor, 2nd floor and a 60 sqm porch overlooking a large lawn with swimming pool. Ideal for those who want to regain their strength after the fatigue of the journey and light a fire in the barbecue area.
The 6 bedrooms are divided over 2 floors and can accommodate up to 12 people, with a bathroom on each floor. A fully equipped kitchen will allow you to indulge in preparing culinary delights to be enjoyed in the dining room using the long wooden table (seating up to 12) and warmed during winter by a pellet stove. Four-legged friends are also welcome, all in complete safety thanks to the fully fenced perimeter. During the summer season, the pond-style swimming pool (8×5 meters) with hot shower and sun loungers will be available outside.

The facility is located 1 km from the center of Montefalcone Appennino, offering ample space and a pool. Each room includes a mini fridge, a sitting area, and ironing facilities; however, rooms may also have a hairdryer, a bidet, and bathrobes or a garden view. For your comfort, you will find a washing machine and an ice maker here.

Guests have access to several common areas, use of the kitchen, a living room, a barbecue, an outdoor gazebo for dining, a small laundry room, and various relaxation areas, one with a panoramic swimming pool open in summer. The rooms have panoramic views of the surrounding countryside and the Sibillini Mountains. They are furnished in a simple and welcoming style and all have TV and free Wi-Fi.

“For us, purchasing this abandoned farm in Smerillo, where we now work and live, was the first step in trying to implement sustainable and low-impact living practices. We are now dedicated to tourist hospitality, beekeeping, and the cultivation of medicinal plants for essential oils. We also grow Rosa dei Sibillini apples, a Slow Food Presidium, and raise a small herd of goats.” The price includes breakfast, with all organic products from our farm and the territory.
